Married 53 year old ageing hippie, born in Long Beach, California. Grew up a "Navy brat" have been to Japan, Guam, Hawaii, Wake Is. Midway Is. Got back to the states just in time for high school. Developed an intrest in disc jockeying radio with friend Marc Coppola in high school, travelled some in radio, then wanted to be playing music rather than just playing records. Travelled up and down the west coast playing "Top 40" music in the Red Lion® and Rodeway Inn® circuits including Vancouver Is. in British Colombia, Canada. Met my wife, Nancy in a little country western place I was playing in Norwalk, Ca. called "The Foxy Lady". Have been riding and racing motorcycles since age twelve in Japan and continue to ride to this very day. The bike in my profile photo is a Kawasaki Concours 1400, and it is a great sport-touring machine and plenty fast! I enjoy reading and my wife and I have probably over a thousand books in our library. We live in a rural area of north east Nebraska in a modest 3-bedroom house that sits just off the main highway in a shelter-belt of trees. I attend Blue Lodge in Norfolk, Nebraska and was raised to the sublime degree on Feburary 12th of this year. (2009) My wife and I are members in Eastern Star as well, we enjoy the fellowship of people who share our masonic values and I try to give of myself to our community by entertaining with the band I play with as well as voulenteering in local projects. My wife and I are both disabeled, she because of her asthma, COPD, and fibromyalgia; me for the inoperable tumors in both feet. (and starting to grow in my hands now) But we both enjoy life and Lord knows there are so many others who are not as fortunate as we are, so we both feel very blessed. We moved here a year ago from Arizona, (Surprise, Az. near Phoenix) where we lived for 12 years. I am a musical instrument repair technician, I specialize in woodwind and brass and percussion, I also have been a technical writer for a few years, but was "laid-off" with no luck in finding another job, so hence our move to Nebraska where the cost of living is a good bit more reasonable and where we both have friends and she has family. The lodge I attend (Mosaic Lodge #55) is in a beautiful old three story building built in 1917, I feel very comfortable there and I am both humbled and honored to be in the company of such good people.
