sad news: The beautiful art deco Scottish Rite temple in Galveston, Texas was badly damaged by Hurricane Ike. Worst of all: all records, going back 100+ years were destroyed. Fortunately, the newspaper took some photos of the inside of the building for a special article on the architecture of the building several months before the storm, which will help craftsman and artisans in repairs, but I understand from a member that there is no hope for the records. You will need to confirm this for yourself via a second source. Once the data is confirmed, please post this message on every masonic website you can find.
